Metrology grade laser scanning and rental
Matrix are Scotland’s leading provider of metrology grade scanning. With a suite of 3D portable metrology laser scanners such as the Handyscan Black Elite, MAX Elite, and GoScan, our services can be utilized to provide onsite inspections and offsite 3D design and reverse engineering. 3D scanning generates highly accurate and repeatable results and has been tried and tested in the most difficult environments.
Creaform MAX Elite
Due to its 38 laser lines and large scanning area, the HandySCAN 3D|MAX Series is the 3D scanner for measuring large part sizes—up to 15 m (50 ft)—quickly and easily, providing metrology-grade results in mere minutes.
Its Flex Volume feature offers an adjustable, flexible working distance—from 0.3m (1 ft) to 2.5m (8.2 ft). This means that the user can scan smaller areas with remarkable quality at a short distance and measure large parts at very high speed from a longer distance.

VX Model
VXmodel is a post-treatment software that directly integrates into VXelements, Creaform’s 3D software platform and application suite, and allows the finalization of 3D scan data to use directly in any 3D printing or CAD software. VXmodel provides the simplest and fastest path from 3D scans to your computer-aided design or additive manufacturing workflow.
VX Inspect
VXinspect is an intuitive and powerful 3D inspection software designed for manufacturing companies conducting first article inspection (FAI) or quality control. Directly integrated into VXelements™, Creaform’s 3D software platform and application suite, VXinspect provides the simplest integration of probing and scanning measurement capabilities.
Pipecheck
Unlike traditional pit gauges, Pipecheck has the capacity to measure both the internal corrosion (thanks to UT or interior 3D scanning if possible) and external corrosion (with 3D scanning) to get a complete 3D visualization of the damages for more detailed, in-depth analyses.
